WHAT IS DVD AUTHORING

DVD authoring describes the process of creating a DVD video that can be played on a standalone DVD player or a DVD ROM drive (with necessary software).

1) (DVD AUTHORING) WHAT DO I NEED TO SEND YOU?

The main film and any other necessary film clips (introductory copyright, extras etc.)
(we can create a copyright / warning introduction on request)
We accept VHS – Mini DV Tape – Betacam SP – Hi8 – and DVD Video
We also accept MPEG1 – MPEG2 – AVI – MOV digital files.
We can convert from Digi-Beta (please ring in advance for this option)
We also need any images you may want for MENU pages
We accept the following digital formats: BMP – TIF – PDF – PSD – JPG
((we can create menus from the film snapshots (still images) on request))

2) (DVD AUTHORING) WHAT IF I WANT ANIMATED (MOVING) MENUS?

We can produce animated menus where necessary.
We require the film footage (normally 10 – 20 second) clip to produce the menu(s) loop. (we can create animated menus from a section(s) of your main film on request)

3) (DVD AUTHORING) WHAT IF I WANT CHAPTERS?

No problem. We can insert chapter points at regular intervals or by your own locations. We need to know how many chapter points you require (or you can leave it to us) We will create a chapter menu jumping to different parts on the main film.
